Barings established Genesis Aircraft Services Ltd to manage the financing and financial reporting of their newly acquired portfolio of 37 leased aircraft.
Barings expands its aviation investor base and purchases 12 further aircraft which are managed by Genesis.
Genesis further adds 6 narrowbody managed aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total fleet to 51 aircraft.
Barings commits to growth with further investment in Genesis, developing the platform into a full service aircraft leasing company.

2018
Irish Strategic Investment Fund invests €50 million in Genesis.
Genesis selects Irish based software company Sysco to build and deliver a fully integrated aircraft leasing system to meet its growth plans.
Karl Griffin is appointed as CEO of the group.
Genesis moves to a new premises in Sandyford, Co Dublin.
Continuing its aircraft portfolio expansion, Genesis completes the acquisition of 31 Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
$400m warehouse facility put in place with Citi.
Appointment of new CFO Adam Smyth.
New Trading and Portfolio Services team to be led by Peter O’Byrne.
Genesis expands managed aircraft fleet.
